1. Make a loop with a short strand (closest to a long strand) that goes in between the strand straight across and the closest long strand.
2. Take one long strand over the first loop closest to it, under the second, over the third, under the fourth, over the fifth, and under the last loop farthest away.
3. Do the same with the other long strand, go over, under, over, under, over, and then under. (try to not tangle the two long strands)
4. Pull all eight strands to tighten. This is considered a "Twist" layer.
